Receiving Intensive Benefit Support
The
overall patterns of anticipated employment status change were
also fairly constant across the three groups; however, there
were a few minor differences. Over half of the beneficiaries
in each group anticipated that they would be seeking a new or
supplemental job in the future. In comparison to the other two
groups, a slightly larger proportion of SSDI beneficiaries indicated
that they intended to use the Ticket to Work program to seek
employment. SSI beneficiaries were about half as likely to indicate
that they intended to decrease their current work hours than
SSDI or concurrent beneficiaries. A smaller proportion of SSDI
beneficiaries indicated that they intended to pursue education/training
than was true for the other two groups.
