Youth Receiving Specific Benefits - Grouped by SSA Benefit Status

More than 80 percent of youth receiving SSI or Concurrent benefits indicated that they were currently receiving Medicaid, while only 26 percent of SSDI recipients were Medicaid beneficiaries. Although SSDI beneficiaries were more likely to have private health insurance, they were less likely to receive subsidized housing and food stamps than the other two groups. In general, the overall percentage of individuals receiving benefits was quite low.
