Youth Receiving Specific SSA Benefits

Although less than 10 percent of total beneficiaries served by the BPAO Program were under the age of 22, it is still useful to examine the experiences of the 4080 youth who did participate. SSI and concurrent beneficiaries under the age of 22 were more likely to receive Intensive Benefit Support than SSDI recipients. This is in contrast to the general beneficiary population, in which SSI recipients were less likely to receive Intensive Benefit Supports.
